Network patch cords can be supplied in Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7, in different lengths, colors, shielding constructions, jacket materials, boot styles and connector configurations. Options can be matched to project requirements and order quantities.
Patch cords are produced with stranded bare copper conductors: 24 AWG for Cat5e and Cat6, and 26 AWG for Cat6a and Cat7. Stranded copper keeps the cord flexible for repeated equipment connections, while solid copper conductors are used for bulk cable intended for permanent installation.
RJ45 patch cords can be supplied with 50 µ gold-plated contacts in shielded or unshielded connector designs, together with molded or snagless boots. Connector and boot specifications can be matched to the cable category, patching density and project requirements.
